Colonie Pop Warner Cheerleading

Colonie Pop Warner provides opportunities for children as young as age 3 to participate in our cheerleading program. As members of our teams, athletes learn much more than just the sport of cheerleading. Our program focuses on developing lifelong skills such as commitment, dedication, teamwork, and responsibility. These values grow with our athletes as they advance through our competitive cheer program.

Our coaching staff receives annual training in instruction and safety, and every coach is background checked and safety certified, from our head coaches to our youth coaches. This ensures your child is taught properly and performs skills that are appropriate for their age and experience level. At Colonie Pop Warner, we believe in building strong fundamentals and do not advance skills until previous skills are mastered.

Season Information

Our cheerleading season begins July 15. During the summer months, teams practice Monday through Thursday from 6:00–8:00 PM outdoors at Roessleville Pocket Park. This schedule continues until school resumes in September.

Once school begins, practices move indoors to local schools. At that time, competitive teams practice three evenings per week, while our Jr. Tiny Mites and Tiny Mites teams practice two evenings per week.

Our Girls Flag Football season begins August 1, offering athletes another exciting opportunity to compete, develop skills, and be part of the Colonie Pop Warner community.
